What is Bar Chart

A bar chart is a chart with rectangular bars of lengths usually proportional to the magnitudes or frequencies of what they represent. It's often called bar graph. Bar chart is using for showing the difference between objects. The bars can be horizontally or vertically oriented. Sometimes a stretched graphic is used instead of a solid bar.

How To Construct A Bar Chart

A bar chart can be constructed by segmenting the range of the data into groups. The vertical axis of the bar chart is labeled Frequency (the number of counts for each bin), and the horizontal axis of the bar chart is labeled with the group names of your response variables.

The next step is to determine the number of data points that reside within each bin and construct the bar chart. On the picture you can see bar chart example.
